Campfire cooking

Enjoy the great outdoors and fabulous vegan food as well

Smoky cowboy beans with campfire dampers

A true campfire classic, a big pot of these cowboy beans, aka frijoles charros, is a lovely way to end a day outdoors. Dampers make it more of a communal dipping affair and are a very easy campfire bread. This dish is also good served with brown rice and guacamole, and sour cream is always a delicious option.
