Turmeric and olive oil loaf

Makes 1 loaf | Prep 25 mins plus proving | Cook 40 mins | Calories 270 (per 100g)

425g (15oz) strong white flour, plus extra for dusting

1½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1 packet of fast action yeast

330ml (11½floz) tepid water

4-5 spring onions

4½ tbsp virgin olive oil

1 tsp coarse sea salt

1 To start, add the yeast to the tepid water, stir and set aside for 10 minutes until frothy.

2 Meanwhile, whisk together the flour, turmeric, garlic powder and 1 tsp salt and make a well in the middle.

3 Pour the yeast mixture into the well and mix with a spoon until it comes together. Turn out onto a clear, lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Adding a little flour at a time if it gets too sticky.
