Vegan Life  |  December 16
Welcome to the December issue of Vegan Life.
Yet another year seems to have flown by – and it’s been an exciting one in the world of veganism. For a start, we’ve seen our numbers swell to their highest ever point – as evidenced by the poll we commissioned along with our friends at The Vegan Society. More and more people are starting to get involved in every level of veganism – whether it is cooking delicious food, spreading the word online, or attending marches, protests, demos, and more.
This inspired a special feature – we spoke to two young women on the frontline of activism, about why they chose to get involved in demonstrations and protests, and how this kind of activity impacts on them. It’s never easy to see animals suffer, but this proactive pair talk about why it is so important to be vocal.
Another woman who’s done incredible work for the vegan cause is Isa Chandra Moskowitz. She is the author of some of the best vegan cookbooks out there – Isa Does It, Appetite for Reduction, and Veganomicon, (which she co–wrote with Terry Hope Romero) are just some of her titles. She created a cooking show – the Post Punk Kitchen, and is now a restauranteur. We were beyond excited to chat to this vegan legend, who spilled the beans on a number of topics.
If you’ve turned on a television in the last year or so, you won’t have missed Romesh Ranganathan. This brilliant performer is part of a growing group of vegan comedians. In this exclusive interview he opens up about his creative process, why he has a strange world view, and why he isn’t yet the stand–up he wants to be.
Have a great festive season, and don't forget to check out our additional FREE Festive Party Food Cookbook that we have included with this issue.
