When did you learn to paint?
Art has been an interest and a wonderful source of therapy for my entire life. I have always been artistically inclined, but found I did not thrive in formal art classrooms or when given much instruction on my creativity. Thus, I have self-taught in a variety of mediums by trial and error. I began to play with watercolour paint, the medium used for a large portion of my current work, about two years ago. With each painting, I develop more techniques and tricks. One of the great things about art is that it is a lifelong learning process. You never say, “Ok, I’m there. I’ve arrived and am the best artist I can be now.” There is endless room to grow.
