DAP Forever

Moto Parilla was founded in Milan by Giovanni Parrilla in 1946. At the end of the 1950s the dynamic Lombard company began to devote itself to karting, producing engines for this new sport. Initially in 1959 two prototypes were made: a 125 cc 3-speed PB10 and a 100 cc single-speed engine called PB7, equipped with a gearbox between crankshaft and pinion. But neither ever went into production. The abbreviation PB was an acronym for Parilla and Bossaglia (the great engineer Cesare Bossaglia, founder of Komet and later in Alfa Romeo where he designed the Alfasud boxer engine). In 1961 Giovanni Parrilla started the production of the irst 100 cc rotary valve engine speciic for karting, always with the collaboration of engineer Bossaglia. This engine was sold in Italy with the Parilla brand, with only one R for matters of pronunciation, and called V11: it was the development of the PB7 from which it took up the horizontal cylinder, forced cooling and the rotating disc intake.
