Marcus Armstrong, Robert Shwartzman, David Beckmann, the Italian Leonardo Pulcini; the bad boys of the “old” KF (and KFJ) found themselves face to face in the newly formed FIA Formula 3. The series was born with the F1 Group’s blessings and answers to the need for greater rationalization of the path leading to Formula 1; out F3 Europe and GP3, in FIA F3. Also new are the regulations, which with numerous limitations (tests, personal and data acquisition), is aimed at a greater equilibrium, and, above all, coincides with Formula 1 events in each of the 8 appointments (16 races) to guarantee visibility remarkable for the drivers themselves. For those who live on “bread and gokart” the most striking thing is the line up; in fact a quick glance is enough to return to relive the great challenges that dominated the direct drive karting scene between 2013 and 2016. We go back to the infamous “kart with the front brake”, the KF, and to the irst year of the Original Kart - OK - which at the time was still sarcastically called “ciuf ciuf”. They were little more than little boys then; a little more than teenagers today; they are certainly the sons of an artistic generation that has given motorsports great talents. Let’s ind out - indeed, let’s rediscover them together.
