Hot spirits

The 2-stroke engine, in addition to being highly sensitive to climatic variations in terms of carburation, sufers greatly from the increase in operating temperatures. A 125 cc KZ, or OK, over a temperature of 55 ° - 58 °, has a progressive performance decrease: for this reason it is essential to maintain the coolant temperature in a well-established range to avoid breakages (temperatures too low), power losses or risk of seizures (temperatures too high).

Cooling is achieved by exploiting the heat exchange between the cylinder itself and an element characterized by a lower temperature, ie air or water. When a body is placed in contact with another relatively colder body, a transformation takes place that leads to a state of equilibrium, in which the temperatures of the two bodies are equal.
