USING MY BMW X1’s infotainment system reminds me of how photographers like me tend to be very loyal to a specific brand of camera.
How so? Well, I’m a Nikon man, and switching to a Canon or a Sony would probably have me confused and disorientated; I’d have to get used to controls not being where I’ve grown accustomed to finding them. And likewise, in a BMW, I’m used to having the brand’s iDrive rotary controller nestled between the front seats, but the X1 does without this.
