ONE OF THE major selling points of a hybrid – such as my Toyota Yaris Cross – is that you get some electric car benefits but are less likely to suffer range anxiety.
I say ‘less likely’ because when I took delivery of my car, I was still a little apprehensive about tackling long journeys in it, due to its modest, 36-litre fuel tank. However, when I needed to travel to Edinburgh to test the new Mazda CX-60 diesel, it seemed like a good opportunity to find out what the Yaris Cross is like on a long trip.
