Parking with your wheels on the pavement can net you a penalty charge notice
COUNCILS IN LONDON made almost £8.5 million from pavement parking fines in the 12 months to November 2023.
The fines are given to drivers who park illegally – judged to be where one or more wheel is on the pavement. The Highway Code also prohibits drivers from parking on footways, footpaths, in front of dropped kerbs or on raised carriage ways. This is enforced all year round.
