Having been found slumped at the bottom of the stairs at No.1, Ken comes round in hospital. He’s got a concussion, broken ribs and a punctured lung.
And, to his horror, he learns that an investigation is under way into his attempted murder! As the detectives question the bruised pensioner, who has no recollection of the attack, it soon becomes clear to the police, and then to Ken himself, that the entire Barlow clan are suspects. With the finger of blame now pointing in all directions, it doesn’t take long for the Barlow clan to start bickering when they visit fragile Ken in hospital. Soon, an incriminating voice
message ramps up the infighting, the contents of which leave his family convinced Peter attacked Ken! Toyah is utterly horrified.
