This quirky Ostrich Feather Lamp was dreamt up by artist James Perkins, who created it to accompany his fascinating collection of taxidermy and objets d’art in his home of Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire. In 2013, guests to the house, which acts as a private venue for parties and fashion shoots, started requesting lamps of their own, so Perkins began producing the lamps on a small scale. They are now in high demand and have been used in marketing campaigns for the likes of Osborne & Little and Harrods. The palm tree base is cast in resin and brass in England and hand-finished in gold leaf, liquid bronze or brass at Perkins’ home. Billowing ostrich feathers give the lamp an elegant but playful appearance, and are available in white, black, coral, dusk and ochre. From £3,300.
