Winq met with John Azzopardi, half of the husband-and-husband team behind vintage mobile gin bar, Gin & Bear It. He spills the secrets to a successful wedding, his upcoming gin festival and his perfect G&T

Tell us about Gin & Bear It.

We are a pop-up gin bar based out of our 1968 Morris Minor. We do weddings, parties, festivals and inside gigs too, but for those there needs to be a big enough door to get the car through! We always wanted to get a classic car and when we saw this one we did the stupid thing and bought it off eBay without seeing it beforehand. We were very lucky, there was nothing wrong with it. It needed to pay for itself as they are not cheap, so we thought about using it as a wedding car, but it is only a two-door and we didn’t imagine a bride would want to be crushed into the back seat! I looked at the boot one day and thought it would make a really good bar. We tried it at a friend’s wedding and it went really well so we decided to go with it.
