Free spirit, running wild

INSPIRATION

Julia ‘Chi’ Taylor is a 58-yearold runner who, at the time of writing, is running barefoot across Spain, from the northern coast in Suances to the south coast in Almunecar. The run will take her 52 days and is likely to cover at least 1,000K.

It’s not just Julia’s running background that makes for a fascinating story. Several years ago, she sold all her personal items and moved from her home in Eastbourne, Sussex, to live life on her own terms. She is now a nomad, travelling from place to place without a permanent home, working as a healer. Mostly based in Spain, she refers to herself as a ‘Sanacion y Guia’ – a healer on all levels. Here she talks about her love of running, what it means to her and why she is doing this amazing challenge …
