The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is for poems written by any young poet aged 11-17. Having started fifteen years ago, the competition, run by the Poetry Society with the Foyle Foundation and support from Arts Council England, is now the biggest of its kind in the country. Winners will have their work published in an anthology and enjoy the profile boost of following in the footsteps of previous winners including Helen Mort.
Submissions must be original and previously unpublished. Enter no more than a maximum of six poems. The competition is free to enter. Poems can be on any theme but must be written in English. The deadline is noon, 31 July. Entries must be made via the online submission form at: http://foyleyoungpoets.org/Apply/
