The Brighton Prize is open for entries of short stories and flash fiction. The prize, which is run by Brighton-based interactive short story evening Rattle Tales, has a first prize of £1,000 and two runners up prizes of £100 in the short story category, and a first prize of £100 and two runners up of £50 in the flash fiction category. There is also The Sussex Prize, which awards £100 in book tokens, for the best entry by a Sussex writer. Winners will be published in the 2018 Brighton Prize anthology.
The competition is for short stories between 1,000 and 2,000 words, and flash fiction up to 350 words. All entries must be original and unpublished. Send entries as doc or docx files with 1.5 or double spacing.
All entries must be submitted via the online entry form. Writers may enter as many times as they like.
