Leading independent Oneworld, which published Marlon James’ Booker-winning A Brief History of Seven Killings, is launching a new crime imprint, Point Blank. It will be edited by Jenny Parrott.
‘The idea is for it to be open to all sorts of crime, thriller and mystery writing, from high-end literary to really quite commercial, and with a significant proportion of the titles being in translation,’ said Jenny. ‘I can say that the one unifying factor will be that each and every book will be a fantastic read. Oneworld is a literary publisher though, and so it is important to us that Point Blank’s books will be well written, no matter how commercial they are.’
