The Colm Tóibín International Short Story Award is a new literary prize from Focal: Wexford Literary Festival, dedicated to the distinguished Wexford-born author.
Sponsored by Wexford Country Council, the new award has a first prize of €1,000, a second prize of €500 and a third prize of €350. The competition is for short stories on any subject, between 1,800 and 2,000 words. Entries may be from writers anywhere in the world, and must be original and unpublished. Only one entry is permitted per writer.
Type entries in 12pt font, double-spaced on numbered pages, with the title clearly marked at the beginning and on each page. The author’s name must not appear on the manuscript. An entry form, which may be downloaded from the website, must be completed, and must accompany each entry.
