Demfest is a new festival of democracy from Gladstone’s Library, Hawarden, Wales, happening between 13 and 14 May. The festival aims to reflect on our current democracy in nonpartisan ways, with confirmed events including Futures in European Democracy, State of Emergency: War, Terror and Democracy and Democratisation and the Media. Speakers will include ExLiberty director Shami Chakrabarti, Green Party leader Natalie Bennett and latpack Democracy author Peter Macfadyen (pictured). Tickets for events are democratically priced between £6 and free.
