Wirral Festival of Firsts is inviting entries for its 2017 Poetry Competition.
The competition is for original, unpublished poems up to 40 lines on any subject. There is a first prize of £175, a second prize of £75 and a third prize of £50. Three highly commended poets will each get £10, and there is a special Wirral prize of £30.
The writer’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Include your postcode at the top of each poem submitted if you want to be considered for the Wirral prize. Online entries are preferred. Postal entrants should include full contact details and poem titles on a separate sheet.
