The Ruth Rendell Short Story Competition 2017 is open for entries.
The biennial competition, hosted by InterAct Stroke Support, is for short stories up to 1,000 words, in any genre. All stories should be suitable to be read in a hospital environment. The winner will receive £1,000 and will be commissioned to write four further stories for Interact Stroke Support over the course of a year.
Stories may be entered by post or by email. Postal entries should be typed on single sides of numbered pages (no staples). The entrant’s details must not appear on the manuscript. Include a covering letter with name and contact details. Email entries should be doc, docx of pdf files, with the story title as the filename. Interact Stroke Support would appreciate entrants letting them know how they found out about the competition.
