What are you writing about? This is a question often posed to writers and there are two ways of answering it. You can outline the plot of your work or you can touch on the themes. Story might be plot or character but what makes it a good story is the way it tackles deeper underlying issues. For example, The Da Vinci Code is a mystery thriller in which a professor attempts to unravel an ancient code but it’s about the conflict between faith and knowledge.
