Health & Wellbeing Magazine Feb-22 Back Issue

It’s usual at this time of year to be taking stock
of what you achieved last year and what’s
on your list for 2022. And while I’m all for
reflection and intention, what about if we
took a minute to pause on productivity? What if
we didn’t always have to be achieving or working
towards something? What if we could just simply
“be”, recollect our thoughts and figure out what’s
important to us? Well it’s a theme that has run
strong throughout the past year and if you’re an avid
listener of our podcast, Walk To Wellbeing, you may have
noticed that it’s a topic that comes up time and time again with our guests.
And this month, our brilliant cover star, Andrea McLean, gets honest about
reprioritising things that she doesn’t feel passionate about anymore. Head
over to page 20 where McLean talks Hollywood role models, not worrying
what other people think and becoming herself again in her 50s. And it would
seem Andrea isn’t alone in wanting to curb her worrying habits – author
Bryony Gordon confesses to how much time she spends with worry and how
she’s learned to reframe her thoughts. Plus, flick to page 121 and find out if
too much worrying can actually make you sick – and if you think it’s impossible
to just shut out those thoughts, the good news is, you don’t have to – simply
find ways to hold onto them more lightly. And, we’re finishing the issue with
wise words from TV star Vicky Pattison, who shares
her tips for staying physically and mentally strong
so she’s able to deal with whatever life throws
at her. My favourite part of Vicky’s interview?
She wants to show other women that they
don’t need to have it all figured out, and
that’s exactly the overriding message from
Andrea too – she’s stepping into 2022 on
a mission to empower other women to
follow their dreams, and she’s starting with
her own. I hope you finish this issue as
inspired as I am!
