I am not sure if it was the sweet smell of apples and cinnamon that I noticed first or how vibrant the colours of the trees and flowers are here in Portugal. What I do know is five days just doesn’t seem long enough in this beautiful part of the world.
Situated along the bank of the Rio Bensafrim, this area of Portugal with its 16th century walls enclosing the old town’s pretty, cobbled lanes and picturesque piazzas has got it all. The sea is calm and relaxing and the view from my room really is a sea view. Vast, shimmering 180 degrees of sea surround me. It definitely doesn’t get much better than this.
