“Veganism has been a way of life for me since I was just 15, after attending a health talk at a local church in my native Ghana. They spoke about what was unhealthy for our bodies and, surprisingly, meat was on the list — as were dairy products, sugar and white flour.
Despite being just a teenager, it made sense to me that to embrace a truly healthy life, shunning sickness and disease, we would need to follow the rules of Mother Earth.
