CITROEN EXIT FORCES WRC SHAKE UP
Citroen has blown the World Rally Championship driver market wide open with news that it will sit out next year’s series. The French manufacturer has announced its plans to take a oneyear hiatus from the WRC before returning with its all-new car – believed to be a C3 WRC – in 2017. In the meantime, Citroen Racing will focus its attentions on a final season in the World Touring Car Championship, albeit without superstar Sebastien Loeb while likely supporting a part-programme in the WRC, as MN revealed last week.
