THE SHADOWS’ BRIAN BENNETT
Drummer for the UK’s most successful instrumental group since second LP Out Of The Shadows from 1961 to 2015, Brian Bennett has always been intrigued by music way beyond the confines of rock’n’roll, and he continues to write music for TV and run a commercial recording studio in Hertfordshire. Brian’s eclectic choices here span childhood favourites, masters of jazz drumming, orchestral movie scores and – why not? – one record he himself played on as a teenager.
Aside from being an ace drummer, Brian has also composed the theme tunes to many TV shows, including Robin’s Nest, Birds Of A Feather and The Ruth Rendell Mysteries
