Nico, you’re again World Champion, how do you feel?

«It was a fantastic weekend to say the least. We won and I thank Dino for the chassis he made, simply perfect. As you know he was my boss. To be able to work with him again for this project makes me very happy. Lorenzo really deserves it. He did something extraordinary as did the whole team. I know the feeling because I had the chance to experience it in the first person. All this is extremely satisfying. I would like to thank Petronas who gave me the “power” to win my World Cup and now we are again back on top together».

In Brazil to win
The 227 participants experienced a very difficult weekend to find the right setup during free practice. Heavy rains affected performance during qualifying, and most of them had never driven on this 1264-meter track. Fortunately, weather conditions improved considerably, thus offering the ideal track conditions of the final phase, which saw spectacular races, races also attended by Darrell Smith, Rotax’s Technical Manager, and Takuma Sato, winner of the Indianapolis 500.

Hofco Karts
Hofco and Comet industries were founded by the Hof Brothers, David and Stephen but the company had its roots in a centuryold business owned by their father Harry Hof. Hofco came into being in 1949 and Comet Industries followed towards the end of the ifties decade. Hofco was the world’s oldest and original manufacturer of gasoline powered portable outdoor power equipment; they made chain saws, strimmers, grass cutting and lawn maintenance equipment, rotary tillers, log splitters and motorized post hole augers.
