The year just ended was a victorious year also on the Engines front, since Vortex, in the DDJ (OKJ), DDS (OK) and RKZ (KZ) specifications, stood out for its competitiveness and popularity, as confirmed by the starting grid of the OKJ World Championship of Kristianstad, where 42% of the participants were equipped with the Vortex DDJ.
But that’s not all; 2018 was also a success for the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, the championship that constitutes the “gateway” to the CIK FIA races and of which OTK is a technical partner, for chassis and engines. Replicating a year like this is a challenge as difficult as it is stimulating, yet the OTK Group has said it is ready for another busy – and successful -season. The commitments of the Tony Kart and Kosmic racing teams include participation in the most important international competitions; to these is added the renewal of the technical partnership with the FIA regarding the Academy Trophy for the next three years (2019-2021). 21 the number of drivers who will defend the OTK, that is 6 Kosmic and 15 Tony Kart, a team wherein a greater commitment in the Mini must also be recorded compared to 2018. In the first part of the season, that is the two rounds of the WSK Super Master Series of Adria and Lonato, and the Winter Cup, OTK Group stood out and shone with both Tony Kart and Kosmic, bringing home podiums with both brands. Together with the OTK entourage we have tried to outline the goals for the 2019 season, and addressing some of the issues discussed during the winter.
