Back in 1984, I was working for the National Trust at a beautiful house in Cornwall called Cotehele. The guides used to volunteer to do the house flowers. I asked if I could help, and loved it. The rest is as they say, history!
One of my favourite things about being a florist is that no two days are ever the same, and the way that everything changes with the seasons. Every time I go to the market there are new things to see, which constantly inspires me. I also love the fact that I never know what I’m going to be asked to do next!
At the moment I love working on hanging installations, which can transform a space quite spectacularly. When I create a foliage or floral chandelier, my style is very organic and natural. I’m known for my love of greenery, so hanging installations certainly allow me to express my inner wild child.
