What Motorhome magazine  |  Mercedes motorhomes special - March 2018
Mercedes-Benz is now the fourth most popular car brand in the UK, with its 2017 sales not far behind Vauxhall. That success would have seemed impossible just a few years ago, but German brands carry a certain cachet with British buyers and few badges are as instantly recognisable – or carry the same gravitas – as the three-pointed star.
For some motorhomers, the badge on the front is as important as the layout or the specification. For devotees it just must be a Merc. So, our special feature in this issue looks at M-B-based ’vans, from the highly desirable Marco Polo campervan marketed by Mercedes itself to super-luxury A-classes from Frankia and Hymer.
There may not be a huge choice of Benz-based vehicles competing for your leisure time but the appeal of the superb automatic transmissions (and the sheer oneupmanship) makes this select band worth seeking out.
We even found used Mercs from only £25k!
