BABY AGONY: MICHELLE DISCOVERS THE TRUTH
Already close to breaking point with his pregnant wife Michelle unaware he’s got her friend, Leanne, pregnant, too, Steve has even more to deal with when he gets a shock call from his dad this week. When Jim rings and reveals he has the genetic muscle-wasting disease, Myotonic Dystrophy, Steve fears for his own health and that of his children. Jim urges Steve to get tested, but will his son listen? ‘If Steve has it, the chances are Amy will too and his babies. Desperate to pretend it’s not happening, Steve, who suffers from depression, initially with holds the shock news from Michelle. But, during their first baby scan, Steve cracks. When he sees the pictures of the baby, he gets emotional and that’s when he opens up to Michelle.’
