Ewelina didn’t start running until the spring of 2015. “When I was teenager I injured my knee and was told by a doctor that I wouldn’t be able to do any exercise, ” she says. “I proved them wrong.”

She started running because she wanted to lose weight and get fitter. “Running helped me to lose four stones, but to start off I couldn’t run more than 10 minutes! But I didn’t give up and I signed up for my first half marathon that September, the Bristol Half. It was really hard for me, but I finished.”
