“I used to not be able to run without a watch – I felt empty and lost without it. It ruled me. I ran the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2018 with one and I was constantly checking my pace. But I felt very depressed and deflated when I didn’t reach the pace I wanted, as it was so hot. Since then, I haven’t worn a watch while I run and it’s honestly the BEST feeling. I run for fun now! I run at MY pace, not a pace that an electronic device is telling me I should be achieving. My love of running is back! I don’t care how fast/slow I’m going anymore because… who cares?! When I feel like going fast, I go fast. When I feel like taking it easy, I do. It’s a game changer and I won’t go back.”
