NEED A LIFT? THEN HEAD TO THE STREETS OF LONDON NEXT SPRING

The Virgin Money London Marathon is close to my heart. As well as living less than five miles from the start in Greenwich Park (so you could say it’s my local marathon), it was also my first experience of running the famed 26.2-mile distance, eight years ago.

Two children later, London was the only place I wanted to make my marathon comeback, in part due to my romanticised nostalgia, and in part due to the very practical reason that we could all stay at home the night before the race (because seriously: have you ever tried sleeping in a hotel room with two excitable kids in tow? It’s NO fun).
