EEEEEK… BRITS ARE DYEING SOONER

Life expectancy is falling in Britain, says a new study published in the British Medical Journal. Researchers from the University of Southern California and Princeton University looked at changes in life expectancy across 17 high-income countries and found that the UK and US are the only two western nations where rates are falling. A number of countries experienced decreased life expectancy from 2014 to 2015, but only the US and the UK have failed to recover from that.

In the UK, life expectancy at birth has declined by 0.19 years for women and 0.26 years for men. Most of the decline has been for older adults.
