From time to time in the world of books and publishing, there occurs a little ding-dong, or spat. One such disagreement occurred last year: you may remember it being mentioned here a few months ago. What happened was that Bloomsbury published a book about the Church of England. This included statements about senior members of the Church which were so indiscreet, and possibly libellous, that the whole of the first printing had to be pulped.
