The Katherine Swynford Society runs quarterly writing competitions for short stories and biographical articles.
The writers of the winning story entry and article entry in each quarter each receive £75.
The Short Story Competition is for stories up to 2,500 words relating to the late medieval period and featuring ancestors, descendants or contemporaries of John of Gaunt and his three wives, Blanche of Lancaster, Constance of Castile and Katherine Swynford. Stories may be fiction or faction but must be historically accurate.
