QI find it very difficult to make a timetable for my writing. If it’s a day when I receive a rejection, or realise I have not been long or shortlisted, it seems to hang over the whole day. But if I have a bit of success, this energises me and I can write well. Unfortunately the rejection days are more frequent than the successes. How do other writers manage? I am retired and writing is the main thing I do.
