In A Flash
In a Flash, the first Flash Fiction Writing Competition from R L Pearson Books, is for unpublished stories of 50-400 words. There is no specific theme.
There are first, second and third prizes of £20, £15 and £10 respectively. The entry fee is £5 per story.
The closing date for entries is 31 March.

Fiction Factory First Chapter & Synopsis Competition 2024
Win £500 and an appraisal from a literary agent in this competition for writers who have completed the first draft of a novel.
As well as the £500 first prize, the winning entry will be read by Joanna Swainson of Hardman & Swainson Agency. All shortlisted entrants will receive a free appraisal.
To enter, send a maximum of the first 5,000 words of the first chapter plus a one-page synopsis. If the chapter is longer, send it in full but clearly mark the 5,000 word point. The entry fee is £18.
