FROW is an online independent magazine that covers British and international fashion and style, mixing high street and high end and targeting readers between 25 and 40. Content covers fashion and beauty, lifestyle, women in business and culture. ADON magazine an international men’s magazine with a bi-annual print edition and a monthly online version. Covering fashion, pop, art, music and celebrity, it’s based in New York, with a global community of creatives, photographers, stylists and models from New York, London, Milan, Paris, Brazil, Israel and Asia. Each issue includes fashion editorials produced in house and internationally, and a mix of feature articles drawn from freelance submissions. Submissions are not paid. Website:

Based in Australia and distributed around the world, MITT is a biannual printed digest based on men’s street style blog Men in This Town, which covers reallife fashion and how it integrates into men’s everyday lives. MITT accepts submissions for its Observe section, which is a mix of written and photographic essays that deal with the subject of what masculinity and being a man means in this day and age. A submissions are paid a flat rate of Aus$150, although commissioned content is more. Website:

System is a biannual publication and linked online magazine geared towards fashion industry insiders. The magazine is highly curated and accepts freelance submissions only rarely, but the team are always happy to receive suggestions for digital content that reflects the System world relating to the culture of the fashion industry. Surfgirl magazine, based in Newquay, is an independent beach style and lifestyle magazine aimed at women surfers all around the world. As well as running travel, surf and environmental features, there are articles on health, beauty and style. Teens speak out

Odd Voice Out is inviting entries for its Teens of Tomorrow creative writing competition.

Odd Voice Out is an independent publisher of diverse YA and crossover stories. The Teens of Tomorrow competition is for futurefocused diverse teen fiction, and is open to writers internationally. There are prizes of £200, £100 and £50 and the top ten winners will be published in a dedicated anthology.

Entries may be in any genre and may be realistic or fantastical. All entries must be written for a YA audience and may be submitted by any writer aged 14 and over.

Enter original, unpublished short fiction between 2,000 and 5,000 words. Each author may enter up to five stories.

There is an entry fee of £4 per story. The closing date is 31 August. Website:
