RESEARCH TIPS
The ideas of rights, liberty and justice have existed in different forms throughout human history, but it was not until 1948 when a common standard of rights for all peoples and nations was set out for the first time: the horrors of World War II prompted the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (http://writ.rs/universaldeclarationofhumanrights) by the United Nations General Assembly. Although the concept of human rights may seem straightforward, it’s a huge topic to research, ranging from its philosophical foundations to its historical development to current human rights violations taking place every day.
