There’s still time to enter Buxton Poetry Prize, which is inviting entries on the theme of ‘awakening’.
There are three categories: open, young people (ages 12-17) and children (ages up to 11). The prizes in the adult category are £500, £250 and £100. In the the young people’s and children’s categories, the prizes are book tokens.
To enter, send original, unpublished poems up to forty lines on the competition theme. All poems must have a title. Each poet may enter up to three titles. Send two copies of each poem, typed on single sides of A4. Your name must not appear on the manuscript. Include a completed entry form, which may be downloaded from the website.
