Michael Connelly is an American author who was a police reporter for the Los Angeles Times before he became a thriller writer. Since his first book, The Black Echo, was published in 1992, he has written a further 35 books, including five ebooks, one nonfiction collection of his journalism and three collections of short stories. Sixty million copies of his books are sold worldwide and they have been translated into 39 languages.
