If you love ponies and horse shows, it’s likely you’ve heard of Pony Finals, the ultimate pony-only championship competition. Begun in 1959, the show now includes both hunter and jumper competition, as well equitation tests and loads of educational opportunities.
Held at the iconic Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, competition at Pony Finals is extremely tough. To be invited to show, a pony must win a champion or reserve championship at a rated horse show. Then the pony and his rider need to get to Kentucky to compete.
