How to fit laminate flooring

Tongue and groove laminate floors are relatively straightforward to fit. You may need to prepare the floor and fit underlay – always check the flooring manufacturer’s recommendation before you begin.

1 Start with a full plank in the corner of one wall, ideally the door wall. Make sure that the tongue is facing the skirting board and pop some wedges in place to keep the board slightly away from the wall.
