Textured circle kit, from £330, Bradstone
Firstly, you’ll need to chip away the existing grout in order to remove the loose slab. Do this using a hammer and chisel and brush away any debris. Then, use a spade to lift the slab out of place. If your patio was laid on a mortar bed then there might be some leftover mortar on the bottom of the slab or on the ground. Use the hammer and chisel to remove any mortar to create an even surface that will ensure the slab is secure once it’s been laid. If it was laid on a sand base, remove some sand to the depth of about 30mm.
