Memories of the Buses and Coaches of the Past
The vehicles of independents, municipals and company operators. Seen at work in pictures from the past including Lincolnshire Lovelies, Midland Memories and Hastings Trolleys.
The vehicles of many different operators across the country, offering public transport around cities and towns, as well as in country areas. These services were provided by area companies, municipal and independent operators, which all tended to have their own ideas when it came to the vehicles used, probably a major reason why we enthusiasts find them so fascinating.
In these pictures, we can see a range of different types of vehicles in service, some of which were old and others not so old when they were photographed, sometimes contrasting with other buses and coaches which were new at the time, including some on display at commercial vehicle shows.
