HAZEL’S FAVOURITE MATERIALS
Acrylics I love a heavy-body acrylic paint so Cryla is a favourite, or alternatively Atelier Interactive, which has a slower drying time and is wonderfully thick. Again, it is surprisingly good value and gives you more time to blend colours before they dry.
Brushes I recently started using Rosemary & Co bristle brushes, which are super quality and surprisingly good value, and handmade in the UK. For rough and ready work, where I’m just building up textures, I use anything from Daler-Rowney’s Graduate range. Surface I have no special preference for a surface, although I particularly enjoy using a second-hand canvas for those lovely arbitrary textures!
