The question of assessment is one that pervades educational circles ear
after year, decade after decade. It seems we can never manage to come
to an agreement on what assessment is actually for, let alone how to effectively administer it in our primary schools. What isn’t in doubt, though, is the one thing all educators do have in common: wanting to know that their pupils are truly learning something in the classroom, as well as developing transferable skills that will set them up in life, no matter what they go on to study.
